"I wanted to be close to my sister's place in the Upper East Side so the location worked for me. It can be a challenge to find a room with 2 beds in Manhattan but we found one here. There was a convenient deli around the corner and the ferry boat was a short walk away on the East River. The 96th St.Subway station was close too. The staff were pleasant and the room was nicely appointed. "

"Prefect hotel for my visit in UES. Staff was nice, Rooms arent huge but they were clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. Plus there was a nespresso machine and complimentary bottled water so convenient for an early cup of coffee. I would definitely stay here again. Note that there are at least 4 steps to enter lobby. "

The property is older; needs renovations to bring it to 22 st century with period details. Our compliments to all employees who made us feel welcome and gave us the VIP treatment."
