"We paid extra for a room with a balcony and we were literally placed in the corner next to the maid closet. So every morning they slam the door open(no fault of theirs it’s just the way the door opens onto their carts as they stock them). Then no balcony. Second floor yet people on street just talking, not shouting sounded as if they were in our room. I paid a lot of money and was nothing but disappointed with this property. I now see why people don’t like to stay here."

"The property , rooms and staff were excellent. The air conditioner was not strong enough to cool the room and the pillows had no firmness to them. I bought a pillow that had some firmness from Target 4 blocks away."

"The staff went out of our way to make us feel welcome. We received a welcome basket with local treats when we arrived and breakfast delivered to the room every morning. There was a happy hour with wine, beer and charcuterie each evening. The room was beautiful and the bathroom was modern and a good size. We have already recommended it to several people and will definitely stay again if we’re in the area."

"The hotel is great, quaint and comfy. It’s not a brand new hotel but that is part of its charm. It’s walking distance to many of the sites in the historical district. Try the Coast restaurant and Rue De Jean next door. The parking is a little pricey though."
