Le Manoir d'Auteuil - Par Aneyro

"Loved the charm and uniqueness of the rooms squirreled away in this 1850s era house. Proximity to Rue St Jean and Rue St Louis were also big pluses. The hotel breakfast was great as well. Felt the advertising should have been more up front about the lack of an elevator which made dealing with luggage awkward going up and down the many steps. My room was located in what must have been a carriage house at one time. I had to go up and down a narrow metal staircase to access the room. Furthermore, on two mornings the door at the top of the staircase was deadbolted at 7 AM making it impossible to get to the rest of the hotel. I had to bang on the windows for quite a while to get someone to let me in. The electronic key fob did not work on that particular door, although my room and a number of other doors were accessible via that fob. This was an issue unique to the two rooms (54 and 55) located off that lower courtyard but it did affect the overall ease of my stay."

"This charming hotel is located on a pedestrian-only street just behind the Frontenac Hotel, making it a perfect base for exploring the area on foot. The entrance is through the excellent Italian restaurant on the ground floor, which adds to the property's unique character. Check-in was quick and easy. Our room wasn't large, but it was thoughtfully designed and made great use of the space. It featured a mini-fridge, a comfortable bed, and a modern, updated shower. We also enjoyed a view of the artists' shacks lined up outside, which added to the local charm. The location couldn't have been better. We were just steps from the funicular, as well as numerous restaurants, bars, and popular sightseeing attractions. We absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area."

"The property was close to lower Quebec City which was perfect for us . The hotel was very nice . We did not eat at their restaurant though. It was a little pricey but all in all was great . You had to pay for parking and breakfast . It would have been nice to have something included since so expensive"

"This was the most magical property! Everything from the dining, the professional staff, and the lovely room was perfection! We also loved the location with the ability to explore the area without needing a car. Easy walk to shops, restaurants, and historic sites. We look forward to returning again soon!"

Hôtel Champlain Vieux Québec

"Great location, clean rooms and very helpful staff. Would have rated a five out five except we could not use our reserved spot (SUV was too big) and there is no housekeeping unless you request it the morning of. Not an issue really but it’s an amenity that is only available by request. The location could not be better!"
