The hotel is dated and in urgent need of refurbishment, as well as improvements in customer service. Arriving just one hour before check-in after a long train journey, we were refused entry and even denied refreshments, being told to go elsewhere. We were on the top floor and there's no lift, but there was a lovely house keeper who carried my massive suitcase up and back down the stairs for me.
