"Firstly we were upgraded which was appreciated , but unfortunately the heat pump didn’t work and it was freezing , eventually a heater was found ,but then the shower drain was blocked and the bathroom flooded into the bedroom , however staff were super quick to come and unblock the drain and mop up the mess."

"Amazing views from our large rooms, hosts were very friendly and helpful, nothing was a bother. The kitchen was well stocked with quality appliances. The only thing to watch out for is the exit from the car park is rather tight so be careful when exiting the car park so not to damage your car. We would definitely recommend this property."

"I was extremely disappointed with my stay at KingsGate Autolodge Paihia. Although our visit was very short, our experience was unfortunately overshadowed by the poor service we received at check-in. "Beautiful spot by the river with river walk and kayaks for hire - we stayed in pet friendly cabin with bunks for 5, fridge and good supply of crockery but lots of other camping options including lovely glam tents with private balconies overlooking the river - cool communal dining area with pizza oven and trays of pizza making - staff very helpful and allowed early check-in"
