We had the Hotels.com confirmation which said check in from midday, we arrived at about 16.00 to find the hotel locked and no one on reception. We tried the out of hours check in which after several failures realised it was for either new reservations or customers who already had a B&B 6 digit code which had not been included with our check in details. We then tried the emergency helpline which was the B&B Paris office, we were held waiting a further 10 minutes only to be then told reception would be open at 17.00 in about 15 minutes. When the receptionist arrived there were about 5 families waiting and she was a bit flustered. She made 2 mistakes with our check in which would have resulted in a significant overcharge had we not realised, I think they were genuine mistakes caused by the queue of frustrated customers. The hotel was very busy and at breakfast the lady was again on her own covering the desk and the buffet which did not work at all. A frustrating experience that will probably cause us to avoid B&B in the future.
