"Room was clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. There was no safety deposit box in the room and they did not provide hand towels. But this was fixed by asking for an extra towel at the front desk which we used for the duration of our stay. There was also only one pillow per person."

"Decent location, nice staff, strange decor/style which seemed to really date the property. The air conditioning barely cooled down the room. The bathroom curtains are very sheer and so it was extremely hot in the bathroom, even at 10am with the blazing sun on a high floor. It was 30 degrees C during our 1 night stay in May so quite miserable sleeping/showering."

"Parking was easy at a cost. Room was great with river views. I would normally give a 5/5 however I feel the staff in the coffee shop/bar/restaurant let the hotel down. Most of the staff were very busy talking to each other and left guests waiting until they went up and had to asked for service. I thought it was just the italian way until I saw a few Italian guests go up and asked to be served. The food could be better as well. Only a small thing as the laurel is attached to a Shopping centre...

"The location is excellent for shopping and sightseeing. The staff are friendly and very helpful, especially in assisting us with our delayed luggage. There are also a few tables and chairs where we enjoyed some relaxing time watching the street, along with complimentary coffee and sparkling water."
