We mostly enjoyed our three night stay here’s. Restaurant was great! Breakfast was lovely. Only issue was the BAR QUIZ, it went until after 1 am and was incredibly LOUD! :(

Beautiful, historic hotel in a great location with an amazing view. The food at the restaurant was delicious and the decor, with so many vintage photos was charming. Sitting on the Adirondack chairs on the front lawn with a cocktail, taking in the ocean view was wonderful!

Quick stay before our Skellig Michael trip. Beautiful view of the harbor from our window and quick continental breakfast. Lovely location about 10 min from Port Magee.

Honestly, everyone coming to Ireland should stay here. It’s a beautiful property tucked away on Valentia island, and really close to Portmagee if you’re heading to the Skelligs. The restaurant is great, and the staff are so nice. It was the highlight of our trip.

The Royal Valentia was a delightful experience! Staff was pleasent, room was size was just right for our stay. Dinner and Breakfast were delicious!

This hotel surprised me with how clean it was. It’s a historic hotel but has been tastefully updated over the years. The views are amazing from many sides of the building. Breakfast was better than expected and the wait staff were friendly. Don’t expect an elevator and you will not be disappointed. One side note, the hotel is accessible from the mainland by a ferry service or from a bridge at Portmagee. If you plan to take the ferry, be mindful of their hours or you will be taking a 25 minute drive around to the Portmagee bridge.

The staff were super. It was undoubtedly one of the hottest times in recent history. So, the rooms were hot. The staff went above and beyond in trying to make the guests comfortable. The hotel is historic and charming.

The hotel is a great option for boats leaving from the island. The bar is very nice and friendly staff. The breakfast was simply ok. The main issue was that the bed was hard as a rock.
