"Let us check in an hour earlier due to a long drive which was extremely helpful, the room was clean and bigger than expected. Found at checkout you can pay £5 to gain access to the neighbouring hotels pool and sauna which would have been good to know at check in. Will stay again."

"Our room was excellent - recently decorated with good facilities - our only problem was with the shower (no instructions). We had an evening meal which was very well presented. No breakfast available but there are coffee shops and cafes in the village. The staff were very helpful.

"This was our first time staying at a hotel that wasn't staffed. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The accommodations were very modern. Plenty of hot water. Easy access to both train and bus stations. Walking distance to a variety of restaurants and grocery stores. Quiet. We didn't hear street noise. Stairs are steep, as others have noted. "Beautiful surroundings with an outside terrace overlooking a small lake, quiet. Staff very courteous and helpful.
Grounds could do with a bit of tidying, cigarette stubs everywhere.
Sink in bathroom problematic for shorter people, needed to stretch over the counter to use it, tap also very stiff to use and leaking.
Enjoyed our stay very much and would stay there again."

"Room was extremely hot but uk was having a heat wave no fan. Noise from the road with windows open. Small compacted room for single travellers. I think there's damp / mold behind the wall paper. By the bed wall paper peeling could see black mole, also near window. This was a one night stay and Cardiff was busy. I feel the room be cheaper, but your probably paying for location. I wouldn't stay again as there are bigger better places with breakfast available if i had booked earlier."

"Staff were very accommodating to our request as we were staying with our slightly nervous dog. They gave us a room with easy access in and out of the hotel, which was very helpful. The rooms were very well insulated and kept the noise down.
