Stayed for the first time. Everything was perfect, breakfast, beds, front desk, dining areas, food items etc. Only thing they need to improve is their bathroom sizes. They were too small. Rest everything was good.

What a lovely surprise! Samesun Hostel has an incredibly pleasant & helpful staff; it was super clean; bed was comfortable; other travelers were amazingly considerate; and the location was wonderful! Plus it came with complementary breakfast. Have only stayed in a hostel 3 times before, and could not have been more pleased with this place!

Perfect and safe location located in the midst of everything. Loved all the security in the building. Loved the aesthetic of the property. Decent and healthy breakfast. Some rooms are a bit too darn tight and noisy with the lock box. Manageable though for temporary stays

Was nice and clean, met some great people, love that they do daily activities/tours for tourists. Location is good as Granville St is right in downtown. Really good spot for those solo travelling, highly recommend!

Clean and great location! Nice staff and cute lil protein breakfast included. Comfortable bed. Privacy curtains! I didn't love that the bathrooms were the size of a shoe box and no toilet seat covers! Room had a portable air conditioner so it was kinda stuffy. No elevators! The stairs were treacherous but they let me keep my big suitcase in storage. No way was it making it to the 2nd floor on those tiny stairs! Overall good stay.

Pros: Free breakfast, excellent 24/7 front desk staff, different group activities available (just ask front desk for more info about what they have at the time), affordable, and in a prime location Cons: No elevators. More so a personal thing, but not enough space in bathrooms and the dormitory that I stayed in Overall, I think you do get more than what you pay for with this hostel. Would recommend the dormitories to those who don't have much to carry with them (like a personal item or a carry on at most) or are staying for a very short amount of time. If your Vancouver stay is longer and you're also the type of person who tends to carry a lot of things with them, then I would suggest getting a private room

I didn’t like that the room was so hot then again I was able to get a good rest. Just don’t turn on lights when you come in later in the night. Staff was very helpful and I was grateful for the luggage storage before my event.
