"We chose to stay at the Holiday Inn because it offered transportation to and from the airport. The stay was fine. Felt like an American hotel and that’s OK. Dinner was very good at the hotel. However, when we arrived, you had to call for the shuttle bus. We called but we’re not connected. We used WhatsApp. Anyway, we started walking to the hotel from the airport; mistake. "This hotel is a great deal for the price. Just keep in mind that you’ll need to take their shuttle to and from the airport (and they charge for it), and there is no shopping or dining in the area."

"We loved our stay here. A beautiful, old style property with beautiful gardens, lovely old furnishings with lots of artwork on the walls. Phenomenal views from the rooftop area, which is sadly underutilized. Great lake views from many of the rooms. 20 minute walk into Stresa along a lovely walkway on the lake edge. Good breakfast as well. Highly recommended"

"Come here if you'd like to find out what great Italian home cooking tastes like. We had two diners here, and regret we didn't have more. The minestrone soup, lasagna and aubergine Parm are so fresh and refreshing, even though I'm used to the great Italian restaurants in Manhattan and Brooklyn. It's nice to have a comforting dinner overlooking the lake, after a day of sight seeing, and finishing with home made apple cake and ice cream or rum with chocolate."
