The location of this hotel is unbeatable! The convenience to everything is oustanding. The staff is friendly and helpful. If you get the balcony room like we did with the view of the canal, then you’ve really hit the jackpot. Breakfast was good enough to get us started on our day. Note the hotel is not air conditioned. We didn’t mind enough to lower our rating.

We went to Venice for our honeymoon and decided to stay at the Hotel San Moise due to its location and having a canal view room available. We were so happy with our choice! The staff was excellent. The daily breakfast was amazing. The location of the hotel in San Marco was amazing and everything we wanted to see and do was within walking distance. I cannot express just how much we loved this hotel, the staff, and this location! We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Our room was perfect! The staff were accommodating and so nice. We would have loved to stay longer. The courtyard was lovely and it is so convenient to shopping and San Marco square.

I truly enjoyed my stay here. The only reason for the 4 stars on facilities was the lack of outlets in the room. The front staff was very accommodating. The front staff confirmed the transportation to hotel by water taxi and scheduled for the early morning pick-up, and even provided a to-go bag with snacks due to the early pick-up. The daily breakfast was absolutely amazing and the hotel staff were so very kind. Don't get me wrong, this is not an updated hotel, it is very old. You get a single key (an actual key). The hotel to me however was amazing, Some may not like how old the rooms are with antiquated furniture as well as the decorations, but I am in Venice, I am not hanging out in my room all day. It has so much history you have to stop and appreciate it. Will I stay there again, yes, and I will request the same room with the balcony and listen to the gondoliers sing as they float past my room with wine in my hand.

We liked how closed the property was to Saint Marks Square. The room was very large. We liked the continental breakfast and the friendliness of the staff. What we didn’t like was, there was a strange smell in the hall to our room and we found the bed uncomfortable.

Was decently clean- comforters or room seemed a little dusty. Front desk woman was semi helpful. Wouldn’t have wanted to stay more than the 1 night. The breakfast and breakfast crew were amazing though!

Great location. Big room but small bathroom. Very Venetian feeling of room with big glass chandelier. Bed was ok but pillows were so hard. They did provide a better one when asked. Helpful staff. Breakfast not worth eating.

Not a Room for Seniors

The rating given does NOT reflect our opinion of the hotel, only the room we had for one night. The rest of the stay was fabulous in a different room. I tried to add one day at the hotel. Our pre-booked room was not available so I took what I could get. Bad mistake. We are in our 70s and my wife has difficulty walking. We were not aware this room was at the top with no elevator. We climbed 50 stairsteps only to find when the door was opened there were 7 more steps inside the room. The bathroom was at the bottom of these stairs, the bed above. Mama mia. To use the fridge add 4 more. To top it off, the clerk changed to this room as a 'superior' upgrade. We did not leave the room except to check into our other room. It would have been too hard to climb back up. Definitely not a room for seniors.

We booked our stay at Hotel Moise, but we were taken to its sisters hotel around the corner. The family ages ranged from 6-81 years old. There were both pros and cons to our stay. The Pros was it was very close to all the shopping. High end stores and etc. It was also a few blocks away from the central square. The hotel waa very close to so many restaurants . We choose this hotel because it was close to a dock and we could get water taxi to pick is up with all our suit cases. We only spent two night there and it was okay for us. now the cons...The rooms smelled of mold and neesed to be aired out. We seemed to have no control of the a/c . Your room was either cold or hot. The sinks and tub water took forever to go down. Some of the rools were roomy while other you barely had room to walk around your bed. The breakfast was okay.

Greeted by a lady that told us that there were no rooms available , even though my husband and i were right around the corner booking a room , wanted to make sure that the room we were booking was indeed that room, i asked if they had any rooms at all available (at least 5 different rooms available on expedia ) she says "no" , so you have no rooms with canal view ? Well yes , but it is 450 dollars cash (apparently she was under the impression we could not afford the room". The rudest, most disprespectful greeting we have ever had , and we have traveled the world and have never experienced such a rude person . So we get to the room (king suite) it is two twin beds pushed together with a big gap in the middle , the mattresses were so thin you could feel the springs in your back. 480 dollars for one night , no air conditioning , no fans , so we opened the windows to get at least some breeze, we were eaten alive by mosquitoes throughout the night , This was absolutely the worst two days we have ever experienced as far as the room and the lady we were greeted by ,(refused to give us the managers name or her name ) The breakfast room is so hot , you do not even want to eat. The young man that helped us with our luggage was very kind to us . Thank God this was not our first experience in Italy , we had stayed in maiori at the panorama hotel beforehand , absolutely gorgeous room with AC , balcony , and wonderful people ( and cheaper) unbelievable rudeness
