"The property is very nice. Looked very new inside and very clean. There were a few hiccups. The shower cut off for about 30 minutes in the middle of a shower. There were no linens for the sofa bed. The bar and restaurant are closed on Monday and Tuesday and I wasn't advised of this until I had already arrived in the UK. If it were not for those things, I would have given 5 stars."

"This place is overrated, dated, unclean. Friendly staff but it is quite far from the town centre and it feels more like it is about how you as a customer can help the staff - it is about their needs, not yours as a customer."

"The breakfast was excellent but wasn't at the Lady Hamilton it was 2 doors down. The double room was tiny, more suited to a single room. There was a very small space between the wall and the bed and care was needed not to nudge the kettle on the way past. No space for furniture although a hanging rail and a few shelves were behind a curtain. There was a stool. To exit the property there was a steep staircase and a fire door that shut behind you. You had to be quick to get out of its way. The bar...

"We stayed for a night at Royal Swan Ashley Manor. It's a bit of a difficult find (even with satnav) as it's on a relatively fast treed road with little obvious signage. The outside is very unassuming and if you arrive late, you will likely have to find parking on the back lawn (it's fairly smooth and on a hot summer's day is actually preferred because there's shade there). The rooms are not difficult to find, and your room key is an old-fashioned actual key attached to a large plexiglass plate....
