"We had a wonderful stay at La Bastide. Julian is an excellent host - very welcoming and interesting to chat to, speaking excellent English. The property is very charming, extremely peaceful and relaxing, and feels authentically Provençal. The breakfast was delicious, served in the atmospheric kitchen. "These folks are busy and Vincente still makes a very nice breakfast. The pizza at the truck down the road is a great option for dinner on the terrace. Check out the unusual goats next door and the Spar market has WARM baguettes in the morning across the street. Ask for “Une baguette, s’il vous plait” and enjoy! This lodge was MUCH further than I expected on extremely windy roads from Cannes and through Grasse but it was beautiful. The Val du Saint Thierry has a great farmer’s market on Sunday...
