"We were moving my mother’s belongings for her in a U-Haul, but decided to take a scenic route through the eastern Sierras and have a couple of nice stays on the way. When I pulled up in front to check in, the bell hop seemed annoyed, even condescending that we had pulled up in a U-Haul. He rather snidely informed us that there was no parking for over-sized vehicles, and then directed me to move it to their loading dock doors (the vehicle was not blocking the driveway in front of the hotel). "Other than my shower dripping, that's the closest thing to a complaint I can think of for this property. It wasn't necessarily a problem for me.But I think it's probably a problem that they're battling with overall. I think for people who were super picky and upity.You would say that this place needs an upgrade, but for me it was totally fine, albeit prices are elevated just because of the area that it's in. Say what you will, but I skied 45 days straight and I went out for dinner every night...

"Nice common spaces but the hotel rooms are rather meh. Not a lot of thought went into designing the rooms - lack of plugs (bring an extension cord and power strip), spotty wifi, coffee but no coffee maker, a rather lackluster front desk staff. Not a lot of navigable space in the room, so don't even think about 4 people and all of your ski gear. Not going to happen."

"Great location, #6 had a nice sized bedroom and the kitchen was super convenient. Average sized refrigerator too. "

"This hotel gave old school ski resort vibes, super charming interior with updated decor and amenities. Spa area with hot tub and sauna was awesome. Room was very clean and spacious, great view, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Lots of hot water and a heater in the bathroom, everything worked perfectly. Highly recommend: 10/10!"

"Location is great. Our room was large, but a bit dated. The TV was not working on our 1st night and someone came, late at night, to fix it which was appreciated. Despite a 10pm hot tub quiet time, people were still in it long after that. Since our room was right next to the hot tub, it was loud."

"The location was prime! Lots of restaurants, bars and breweries within walking distance and a short drive to the mountain. We enjoyed our updated room at the Sierra House. It seems some things are still under construction as the building was very new but that didn't bother us a bit. The steam and sauna are slightly outdated but again that doesn't matter to us. We really enjoyed our stay!"
