"We stayed in Hoopoe Cottage. While I appreciate that Barton is under new ownership, our experience was disappointing.
Before we even arrived, our booking had been incorrectly recorded for the wrong day (fortunately my husband phoned to confirm). We'd also arranged an early bag drop (no issue there) and were told the hot tub would be lit before our return from the Overberg Explorer.
When we got back, there was no cot despite confirming one and the hot tub was ice cold because the fire had gone...

"Pre-check in comms and answering cell number after arrival were very poorly handled. Would have been better to be able to chat to someone to get the details from a human than just a board at reception when we arrived. "

"Very well appointed apartment as described. Great spot close to shops, restaurants etc. Garage parking a bonus. Balcony perfect for watching the world go by! Comfortable beds and settees. Too cold to use the pool though..."

"Our family of 10 adults had an incredible three-night stay at Sunset Farm—it was truly one of the highlights of our trip through the Cape. The farmhouse was massive, spotless, and beautifully maintained, with every bedroom having its own private bathroom. The staff even arranged the beds to perfectly suit our group.
Paul, Katie, and the entire team were wonderful hosts. They were always friendly, helpful, and available when needed, while still giving us complete privacy. My young adult...
