You get what you pay for, but this place felt like a bargain! It was nice and quiet, beautiful view from our room. The staff was very, very friendly. The only thing that I could say they could improve upon is maybe the cleanliness a little bit.

Absolutely the Worst Experience – Completely Misleading This was one of the most uncomfortable and misleading stays I’ve ever experienced. First of all, this is not an inn or resort—it’s a motel, and not a clean one. The pictures online are completely inaccurate. There is no actual lake, just a small, murky man-made water hole that looks unkept. When I arrived, I was shocked. The place felt dirty and unwelcoming from the moment I stepped in. My skin literally started crawling. The room smelled unpleasant, and the overall atmosphere felt neglected and poorly maintained. There were roaches—everywhere. Big ones. The bathroom was filthy. The floor clearly hadn’t been mopped. The phone didn’t work. Trash was visible around the property. Nothing felt clean or safe. It honestly felt like no one had taken time to care for the space in a very long time. What bothered me most was that the staff didn’t seem to care or try to present the place any better. I couldn’t stay. I immediately pulled out my phone and booked another hotel. If you're someone who’s used to even basic 3-star hotel standards, this place will likely be a complete shock. The smell inside the room didn’t help either—it was strong and unpleasant. Overall, it was a very disappointing and unsettling experience. I truly wouldn’t recommend this location unless it undergoes a serious renovation and deep cleaning.

This property is in a really bad location. A lot of sketchy activity goes on here late at night and early morning. Grown adults standing at the pool side watching kids swim and they aren’t even staying in hotel. Highly do not recommend this place.

Great location and very nice owners. Clean rooms and clean pool, very short walk to the beach. I booked my rooms incorrectly and they were able to fix the issue for me with no issues. Great value for Virginia Beach. I will stay there again!

Some guests got into an argument, which ended in a shootout. The incident hit my car. No one at the hotel took responsibility for the lack of security. The owners didn't even apologize for what happened. I had to go ask for clean towels from the hotel's cleaning service. Otherwise, they would never have cleaned the room. The worst hotel in Virginia Beach.

The balcony fact away from the beach felt very private and quite compared to the hussle and bussle of the beach side. The pool area was very relaxing as well.

The staff was very friendly. The room has balcony over looking the lake was a pleasant surprise. The room was a well thought with a practical mind set. The floor was rather sandy due to it’s a beach town. Overall it’s worth the value.

The staff was nice. The room was very clean. The issues we had were that there was no lock on the balcony door, the swing lock on the front door was broken off and the deadbolt didn't lock. Also the smoke alarm was removed and sitting in the closet.

I did not feel safe in the environment. The room reeked of smoke. The mattress was not comfortable. The room was not up to par clean, crumbs all over the place. I did not feel comfortable sleeping in those conditions and ended up sleeping somewhere else.

Mold in the bathroom. Parking lot is a joke. Inadequate bedding. No coffee maker. The refrigerator was not very cold. I will say the staff was friendly. There was some sketchy activity in the parking lot.

Room 1: gagging smell of pin sol (can see my foot prints on the thick layer), toilet didn’t flush Room 2: eye burning smell of pin sol, tried to turn the tv on, hdmi cord was unplugged so I tried to plug it in, it sparked, went down and told the owner (sweet lady) but English is not her first language she said she would send her house keeper..he brought another hdmi cord and it did the same thing and sparked but this time it threw the breaker so he plugged it in..I sat down and poured a glass of whiskey at this point cause I already knew what was going to happen he’s on the phone with the owner telling her to flip the breaker and low and behold the back of the tv starts shooting sparks. My wife’s screaming at him to unplug it..he stands there flabbergasted so I had to put my damn drink down and go unplug this cord before the whole hotel burnt down Oh you thought I was done? Room 3 we got upgraded to a room with a balcony, thank god cause the pinsol smell was at “eye watering” level but we just wanted to sleep..I ended up having to completely hook the tv up (so I could watch the new episode of swamp people) we left the balcony door open in hopes the room would air out and went to sleep. My wife and I both woke up at 1 am and were gagging on the pinsol (we could taste it and smell it stuck in our faces for half the day after) this is with the balcony door open in 20 degree weather..we thought oh a hot shower might clear this smell out our faces…nope no hot water..etc
