"The rooms were clean, it was nice having a microwave in the room. The hotel is quiet, at least it was for us on the 5th floor. Staff were very friendly. It was easy to check in after 12am. Made our trip to St John’s even better! Would recommend staying here. Thank you!"

"We booked here for 8 days with our two teenage grandsons. The bathroom consisted of a shower and toilet and wasn’t even big enough to change your mind. There was two hooks right up against the shower but was pretty difficult to hang 4 towels. The sink was outside the bathroom and there was no place to hang a hand towel after washing your hands. "A unique, and uniquely warm motel that is really not comparable to any other properties. The couple that owns the motel are the main highlight: you will struggle to find more gracious, hospitable, friendly and helpful hosts anywhere in Newfoundland. The facilities are lovely and very distinct. The meals we had were excellent, including their very special (and very abundant) Jiggs Dinner which they offer every Sunday starting around noon, in the motel's main dining facility. "Had to ask for housekeeping to clean the room. The pool area was never monitored, as small kids vomited in the hot tub. As well the hot tub jets were out of service on 2 different occasions. Service at the restaurant was not the greatest. For the most part, my week went well, but this was a lot of issues for a 5 night stay."

Then we came back at the end of our trip for four nights and stayed in Port Royal room, and this one was much bigger with bigger bathroom. Both rooms were on the first floor.
