We often stay here when we are travelling. The hotel is comfortable and clean. We don’t have breakfast as we are usually on an early morning flight but have dinner which has been good. The staff are always helpful.

What are some of the general tips for travellers to Wairarapa during the COVID-19 outbreak?
If it's your first time travelling during the COVID-19 outbreak, you'll notice a range of new restrictions and rules in place. Take note of these tips and make your journey to Wairarapa go off without a hitch:
  • Before booking your flight, find out if any travel restrictions or bans apply — in both your origin and destination. Get up-to-date information by reviewing government travel advisories.
  • Keep your face mask on during airport screening. A TSA employee will require you to lower your mask temporarily for identification purposes.
  • Instead of handing a TSA agent your boarding pass, place it straight on the reader yourself. Then, hold it up for inspection.
  • One liquid hand sanitizer container is now allowed in your carry-on bag. It must be no larger than 12 oz (350 ml), and you'll need to remove it from your bag at the X-ray machine for scanning.
  • Remove personal items from your pockets, like your wallet, phone and small change, and put them in your carry-on instead of into bins. This will reduce handling during screening.
  • Transport all food items in a clear plastic bag and also place them in a screening bin. Keeping food separate from your carry-on makes it less likely that a TSA employee will need to open and touch your bag for inspection.
