Sama Wakan Heritage Home interesting place for one or two resting days. Traditional Omans Village Rooms was very clean and comfortable. Staff was very helpful and friendly especially on the first evening, when we come.

Maar...kan er echt geen verwarming ? Enkel een klein heatertje is niet voldoende. En in de nochtans gezellige zitruimte was er ook niks van vuur...
Om te eten.... buiten ? En dan met een heater aan de voeten ? Alleszins niet duurzaam.
Jammer want Wakan is een authentiek dorp en het is een mooie wandeling.

Cosiest hotel with best mountain views
Absolutely amazing place! We spent only 1 night there and went hiking around the day after and it was the best part of our 5 days in Oman. The hotel and its staff are just fantastic and the place is beautifully decorated. Must have a 4x4 to get there though as the last few km are off road and could be really challenging without a good car.

Une impression d'être au bout du monde !
Une impression d'être au bout du monde ! Attention à ne pas arriver la nuit car la route en altitude est étroite et à flanc de montagne. Privilégiez un 4X4. Charmant petit établissement (3 chambres uniquement) mais un maigre filet d'eau courante pour se laver et pas de possibilité de dîner à l'intérieur... quand les températures peuvent avoisiner 0 degré le soir. Pas de Wifi et c'est tant mieux ! Personnel au petits soins. On a regretté que la carte du restaurant soit plutôt restreinte(sandwichs, hamburger, salade, 2 plats typiques...). Promenade à faire dans les hauteurs à faire pour des très jolies vues et pour le côté peu touristique. Attention Nizwa est à 3h30 de route et Muscat à 2h30 donc le village est un peu excentré et vaut le détour si vous avez le temps.

Charming!
Very charming and clean rooms in stunning surroundings! Good and fresh breakfast. Wakan is a nice little mountain village with beautiful gardens. You will need 4wd to climb the last few km to the village.
