"The view from the balcony overlooking the lake was fantastic. Tony was always available to answer questions and supply everything you needed. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Room was very neat and clean. Plan on going back in November."

"My daughter and I went to Purity Spring Resort for an overnight trip and relaxation and it did not disappoint! We were in the Inn, which is the asme building as the restaurant. Although we could hear a little noise from the hallway and the game room, we found the location to be very convenient. We were right next to the restaurant and directly across from the check-in, pool, hot tub and lake. There were plenty of beach chairs, paddleboards, kayaks and canoes and we found the lake to be incredibly peaceful and beautiful. We had dinner at the restaurant, which was pretty good, we preferred the breakfast by the lake, which was so nice. There was a great little shop not far down the street, maybe a 5 min drive, with all sorts of cute little treats and home goods and a great ice cream shop called Betty Sue's. Highly recommend it if you're looking for a relaxing and quiet getaway."

"The Holiday Inn Express in Rochester was a wonderful place to stay. The staff were all very kind and friendly. One morning I came downstairs too late for breakfast and the staff member behind the desk offered to go into the kitchen and get me some yogurt, fruit, and see what else he could find. The morning breakfasts were great. The coffee in the machine is better than starbucks. The pool and hot tub are clean, well maintained. The flowers around the hotel were beautiful and I saw people watering them every day. Also, it is in a great location, with many stores nearby. We traveled to Kennebunkport, Ogunquit, and Portsmouth from here - easy treks. My only negative is that the cleaning people, who only came in my room half the time I was there, did not vacuum my floor or clean the bathroom sink. But we got fresh towels every day. Great place to go. I would totally stay there again on my next trip to Maine."

"It's nicer and more updated inside than it looks from the outside like it'll be. One drawback that the hotel staff doesn't have any control over: their location is at the corner of a wide, slightly weird intersection that I didn't enjoy navigating. We also didn't think the free breakfast was that good (though if you like making your own waffles, that part was nice). Overall, though, a pretty good deal for the price."
