We had a pet room and not sure how much that contributed to our rooms musty smell and scratched wood.
This bldg. is owned by the Silver Mtn. resort owners, but you would never know. It is old and smells as such. The rooms were clean (despite smell and scratches) and the beds were comfortable. Check in was good. The heater in the room was broken. When we arrived the heater showed 67 however, it felt more like 85. We tried to lower it to 60 and it didn't work. It got so hot that night we actually turned it off and opened a window. We left it off all the next day and returned to still find it warm despite it being in the 30s outside. When mentioned to the front desk lady she said she would have someone look at it. That night we continued to have problems and slept between sauna hot and freezing cold. There is no housekeeping (which was OK for us as we rarely use it however, they have 1 tiny trash can under the sink for 4 people with only 1 bag. There should at least be another in the bathroom. If they are not going to have service than they need to provide more trash bags. We ended up having to stack our trash in a pile next to it.
The breakfast is continental. Orange/apple juice, blueberry or wheat bagel w/cream cheese, apples, oranges, yogurt, trail mix, nutrigrain/granola bar, and micro maple/apple cin. oatmeal. No plat or tables. Coffee was OK. No hot chocolate.
