"Train station being close is about the only good thing this place has to offer. You have to make it past the bar with a bunch of rowdy drunks talking trash to you just to check in. Whoever took the pictures for this place deserves a raise. The room is tiny. The mattress is old. The bathroom is gross. The carpet is gross. "Great property, very quiet location, lots of golfers on the coarse so guess its good to (not a golfer). Food was amazing (though a little pricey) and the staff were incredible. With a nice bonus of a live act in the bar on Saturday night.
The only let down was the pool etc. Locker rooms in need of some TLC, the pool was absolutely freezing and the steam room didnt seem to be working.
All in all though a nice hotel, in a quiet area to get away from it all. "

"The ceiling was leaking liquid down the bathroom wall. The room was not set up for 2 people.
There should be a shelf in the shower to hold shampoo, wash gel, etc.
Could not figure out how to turn on towel warmer.
Upside is the you g lady at the reception desk was very responsive.

"We recently stayed at this hotel and overall had a pleasant experience. The hotel itself is set within a beautiful listed building with lovely gardens, which gave it a lot of charm and character.
Breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of options available, including fresh fruit, cereals, toast, and hot food. There was something for everyone and the quality was very good.
