"We loved the architecture of the historic lodge and its beautiful setting on the Lake. The huge public room with fireplace and leather club chairs was charming and cozy to hang out in, especially at night or a rainy day. Staff very friendly and eager to please The restaurant had quite good food and nice ambiance, though a bit expensive. Great trails both short and long, to explore the forest. Our room was spacious and had a lovely view of the grounds and lake, but it was quite ordinary in terms...

"Great room. I appreciated the roomy bathroom and grab bars. Parking was good. Hotel is in a good location for Stevens Canyon entrance of Mt Rainier NP. I also enjoyed walking in Gifford Pinchot National Forest."

"Staff were very kind and helpful, room was clean. No elevator nor offer of lifting heavy luggage to the second floor. No breakfast ... which they say has not happened in the past 4 years. Was very close to the park and bonus was seeing a group of 15-20 elk just down from the lodging."
