"This is an older hotel. The rooms are dated but it was clean and had everything we needed. The staff was very friendly and let us get in our room a few hours early. They do have some newer cabins you can rent if you are wanting something more updated. Great location, close to Mt Rainier and downtown Packwood. There was a Mexican restaurant next door and the food was delicious."

"No modern electronics (USB) ports. Breakfast was not available until 8 AM. When we arrived at dining area at 0805, which was tiny for 26 rooms and about five family cabins, we were informed that we were a bit early. Coffee was not made and nothing had been put out yet. This doesn't make it convenient for travelers who are trying to get the most out of each day. When we returned to our room the code to open the door did not work. Had to go back to the office and got a manual key. Then back...

"Beautiful interior with club chairs, game mounts, fireplaces, rustic beams. Very well done. Helpful staff and excellent bartender. Big hot tub and fire pit. Six stars!"
