"“We had a generally pleasant experience at the resort. The property was clean, well maintained, and the beach was exceptional. Most of the food was good, though a few staff members at the drink and food shacks were unfriendly and seemed unhappy to be working with guests. Others, however, were wonderful. We appreciated the convenience of traveling between the five DIVI resorts by shuttle. One downside was that at check‑in we weren’t given a map or list of activities and had to request them. We also played golf, but the course greens were average at best and quite worn in places. This was our first time in Aruba. Taxis mostly require cash, but the island felt very safe to travel around. The highlight of our trip was the ABC Tours Wild ATV Adventure along the northwestern. "Very underwhelming. Limited restaurant selection that never said reservations required but by 730pm, they were full for the evening. This limited us to the buffet for dinner. Also, even though RIU owns two properties side by side you cannot visit the restaurants at the other resorts The entertainment at night was mediocre at best. What was labeled as a comedy show was just a game show. There was little humor in it. The beach and pool were clean but patrons reserved seats very early and were never removed after the two hour time limit even though it is clearly marked as being the rule. This led to limited good seating The staff was the best part. Always helpful and accommodating. This was pretty much the only part that exceeded expectations. "

"Nice hotel; however, very overpriced. We have stayed at several All-Inclusive resorts in Jamaica, Dominican Republic, etc. that were just as nice at a fraction of the price."

"Best amenity is access to the private island. Breakfast was ok but nothing special. There was a lot of little things that needed fixed around the hotel and in the room. Artwork hanging off crooked in the hallway, drywall patches in the bathroom, debris on the carpet in the hallway everyday. For the price during high season $800 per night with breakfast I do not find it worth it at all. For half the price it wouldn’t be as much as a problem. Do not expect a 4-star hotel experience. The staff all around was excellent, helpful and incredibly kind and attentive. "

"The location was right on the beach. It was nice you had lounge chairs and sand right outside your room. Beaches had beautiful white sand. The restaurants were right on the beach and the food was amazing. Staff was super friendly. Close to shopping areas. We will definitely be returning to the Tamarijn."

"Everyone was very nice and helpful. Area was always clean. We really loved how everything was accessible. Everything was walking distance, from our room, to the beach and to the restaurants what more can you ask. Although our room was located near the construction site, we didn't care for the noise because we were outside most of the time. Me and my husband really enjoyed our stay. We will definitely come back to this hotel. "

"The dinner plans are nice but they only let you dine so many times. Example….we were here for 10 days and they only let us do reservations five times. The buffets are ok but not the best options. Room amenities is a joke. They never filled our room fridge and when I called to ask for soda they never delivered it. They wouldn’t restock my coffee an at one point left me with a coffee maker without the pot! I love Aruba but will never do the Barcelo again. "
