The Grand Hotel Swansea

Llechwen Hall Hotel
8/10 Good
"Lovely hidden gem . Easy to find . Lovely breakfast . Will definitely stay again ."

Blanco's Hotel Port Talbot
8/10 Good
"Large comfortable room, cleaning was generally good. Shower was great. Bar was nice - a good choice of drinks. Didnt have any food, so cant comment on that. Large car park and great location for getting about. No EV charging points, but they didnt claim to have any. In feneral, South Wales High speed EV charging facilities are not readily available. We had to go to Swansea. "

Village Hotel Swansea
2/10 Terrible
"From the outset the reception was chaotic with lots of noisey people. I had to queue for self check-in. I queried why there was a £5 car parking charge when this hadn't been pointed out prior to my booking. I asked why this was and he said because I booked with Expedia. So be careful.
The hotel was tired and not worth the money."

Best Western Aberavon Beach Hotel
2/10 Terrible
"Our stay at the Best Western Aberavon Beach was a deeply disappointing experience. What was meant to be a relaxing break was marred by verbal abuse, noise, and a complete lack of professional conduct.
The most serious incident involved a 17-year-old guest shouting vile verbal abuse (“suck my dick”) at us from his window. We reported this to reception immediately, but the guest’s loud music continued throughout the night, and we never received an outcome. Alarmingly, the staff disclosed that the guest was “there on his own”—a significant breach of guest privacy and GDPR.
Noise was a persistent issue; on both Friday and Saturday mornings, young children were permitted to run and shout in the corridors right outside our room without any management intervention.
While reception offered a bottle of wine as a "gesture of goodwill," the experience was further soured at the bar. A male staff member was incredibly rude to my partner, making a sarcastic and unprovoked remark that she had “obviously drank wine through a straw” before. This, combined with our room keys failing and needing to be reprogrammed multiple times, made for a stressful stay.
A bottle of wine does not compensate for verbal harassment and staff insults. We are currently seeking a full refund for this failed experience."

Dragon Inn Crickhowell
6/10 Okay
"Really nice room. Cosy bar and restaurant. The
Four out of five for the staff because they sat around us chatting whilst we were having breakfast. It felt a little like we were in the way of their conversation.
Dined here on two evenings and one breakfast. Very good meals apart from a massively overpriced “cauliflower steak” - ordered out of curiosity but I should have asked first. It was just a roasted head of cauliflower… and not that big a one, either, but the price didn’t reflect this!
Very noisy at closing time and in the street outside. "

Lanelay Hall Hotel & Spa
10/10 Excellent
"Great few days at Laneley Hall"

Morgans Hotel
8/10 Good
"Room was right next to the roadway. Very noisy in the morning from traffic, workers, etc.
Overall the stay was ok. Not sure I'd stay again unless I had a better room."
