"The location was ideal as the best restaurants to eat at we’re just around the corner on Cuba Street Also, when you walked in the unit, it was spotless. The kitchen counter was gleaming. The bathroom shower stall did not have any sort of watermark spot onit. Great views of the city. Clean and fresh is how I would describe the room. I would stay here again with no hesitation!!"

"Quirky vibe, European style. Very comfortable room, with excellent amenities. All very thoughtful in terms of guest comfort, needs, use of space and sustainability. Good location by the harbour and opposite the Te Papa museum. Parking a short walk away. Register your car with the hotel to save on parking fees. "Wow!! Our stay at the Sofitel exceeded expectations! We have stayed at quite a few different ones around NZ and we have to say that the Sofitel is in a league of its own! The staff were amazing and couldn’t help us enough. We were only there for one night but we didn’t want to leave - we will be back. Absolutely worth it. Close to lampton quay too so very central."

"Great location but no reception desk. They got my email wrong so we had no idea how to check in or where to park. Parking was expensive. Construction going on so foyer and lift a bit dirty. Loose tap and leaky shower hose. Bed was ok but sofas weren't. Had no milk so bought our own."

"The unit was clean, in good condition, and the beds were comfortable. Instant coffee, teabags, sweeteners, and milk were available in the room along with an electric kettle. Check in and out was simple and quick, staff were friendly and helpful. We would stay here again."

"Extremely average given the price point. The carpet in my room was lifting up, curtains ripped, bathroom dated and clunky. Antiquated TV system from the early 2000’s. The hotel needs a full refurbishment to be brought back to its former glory! Wouldn’t recommend at this stage."
