No provision made with water supply when power went out due to loadshedding. You could not use the bathroom at all. NO extra drinking water in the room. Breakfast at restaurant was also not great. Sorry, not a good overall experience at all. It is situated in a beautiful area.

Tucked in between the mountains and vineyards...

An amazing get-away location in between the most magnificent mountain views. Staff are all friendly and efficient. Good wines. There are really pleasant walks in the area too.

Wonderfully relaxing vineyard stay

As the first stay in our 3-week holiday in South Africa, Dunstone House was perfect. Our room (in a beautifully-converted stables) was very spacious, quiet and comfortable. An attractive, clean pool with great mountain views had sufficient loungers for all rooms. The hotel had a delightful small restaurant whose 'specials' were always a delight - important as it's 3-miles into Wellington! As well as tea and homemade cake being provided each afternoon in the guest 'lounge' (a word which understates this dramatic modern space facing the mountains), Dunstone also provides a 'wine hour' every evening before dinner, during which guests can 'taste' each of the lovely wines produced in the estate's own winery; needless to say, there was often little left! There's also a large fridge freezer stocked with drinks (and ice creams) which is subject to an honesty book. Perfect. The owner (and all the staff we met) were lovely. Altogether, a great start to a lovely trip.

Dieses Hotel liegt wunderschön in den hauseigenen Rebbergen, allerdings etwas abseits von Wellington. Die ganze Anlage ist liebevoll eingerichtet mit einem guten Komfort und entspricht der Preis/Leistung voll.

Litet, lugnt, gott o underbart 2-3nätter.

Enastående litet personligt hotel där man känner sig väl omhändertagen o kan njuta av avslappning enastående god mat o härliga viner. Här finns det inte mycket att göra annat än att ligga vid Polen o avnjuta utsikten, om man inte sätter sig i bilen o åker på utflykter. Maten är utmärkt o rekommenderas att köpas "inclusive". Rekommenderas varmt men stopp på 2-3 nätter räcker om man inte planerar ha hotellet som bas för vidare turer.

The setting is perfect for a romantic breakaway and/or friends getaway. The venue is picture postcard perfect. The breakfasts are particularly tasty and of the best that we have enjoyed in some time.

Super Urlaub im Cottage

Wir kamen an und fühlten uns sofort wohl. Unser kleines Cottage , bestehend aus zwei zwei Schlafzimmern, zwei Bädern, Küche und einem Wohnzimmer hatte ein eigenes Pool und war etwas abgelegen vom Hotel (circa 50 m). Es war eine wunderbare Ruhe und Der Blick aus dem Häuschen geht direkt auf die Weinreben. Um 18:00 Uhr war eine kostenlose Weinverkostung und man saß total schön. Alles in allem ein super Urlaub.

Magical haven

Amazing location with such friendly and helpful staff. Well appointed throughout. It wouldn't be difficult to appreciate the complimentary tea and cake anyway but when served on the atmospheric verandah with interesting books you can really unwind. Even more so at Happy Hour ! Good meals, too, at the restaurant. To complete the relaxation, there are pervasive wafts of lavender.
