"There are many excellent things about Mollie’s Bristol:
• It’s economical and good value
• The reception area is a very welcoming and social space, including a bar and free tea and coffee, desks and comfortable seating
• Opening off the reception area, there is a lovely garden courtyard, with tables and chairs and a play area for young people.
• The staff are wonderful – always friendly and helpful
• The rooms are attractive and the bed and pillows are very comfortable
• There are units dispensing free hot and cold water on each floor
• The Diner is well designed, with a good, varied menu – and clearly very popular with residents and visitors alike.
There’s a couple of shortcomings:
• Bizarrely for a relatively new, purpose designed building, there is no guest lift to the first and second floors. So, if you have heavy luggage, make sure to ask for a room on the ground floor
• In our bedroom: apart from four hangers, there is nowhere to put cases and content – no desk, no shelves, no cupboards, nowhere to open cases and put clothes, except on the floor. Oddly, in our room, there was plenty of space for a shelving and storage, such as you get in many hotels, even at the budget end, but the floor and wall space was unused.
Despite these shortcomings, we would be happy to stay at one of the Mollie's Motel & Diners in UK again."
