"We had a great 3 night stay at Hardgate Hotel. Unfortunately the Speckle Wood restaurant is now closed so had to go elsewhere for food. Breakfast wasn’t included but there was tea/coffee/etc supplied. Room was very clean and shower was great, rain shower or standard. Only some minor negatives and these are:- Need a full length mirror More hangers for wardrobe Need hooks on back of room door or on wall area for hanging up coats Bed was way too soft for us and affected sleep and need a better selection of pillows. There is a bar downstairs called Quoiters and that’s where you check in and collect keys. If you’re planning on having a drink there, some of the language is “choice” so be warned or broad-minded. :-) All in all we had an enjoyable stay and would use again as it is a perfect location for our requirements"

"Room was comfortable and clean but decor was a bit tired. The staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty and I would say worth the price. Overall the Grosvenor is in a great location and is a good choice of hotel. It is a bit faded and could do with a bit of TLC. I would be happy to stay there again."
