If it's your first time travelling during the COVID-19 pandemic, you'll notice plenty of new standards and rules in place. Follow these tips and make your journey to West Styria go off without a hitch:

• Research if any travel restrictions apply to your origin and destination before booking. Also check if there are any conditions you'll need to follow on arrival, such as health testing.
• Requirements state that you must wear a face mask at the airport, even at screening checkpoints. You should be prepared to lower your mask to verify your identity when asked by a TSA officer.
• You're no longer required to hand your boarding pass (paper or electronic) directly to a TSA employee. Rather, you should position the pass on the scanner and then hold it up so the agent can inspect it.
• You are now permitted to take one container of hand sanitizer up to 12 oz (350 ml) in your carry-on baggage. You'll need to remove it for X-ray scanning.
• Remove personal items from your pockets, such as your keys, phone and wallet, and put them in your carry-on rather than the bins. This will reduce handling during the screening process.
• If you want to take food on the plane, place it in a clear plastic bag and then into a screening bin. This reduces the likelihood that a TSA agent will need to handle your food container or carry-on bag for closer inspection.
