On arrival my room stank of stall smoke, in hindsight I should have told someone but I didn't and now I've now been charged £100 and told it was me. Strange people in the hotel entrance of a night time that looks like homeless people that have got the entry code for the door. Certainly wouldn't recommend this home.

I am absolutely disgusted with our treatment by this hotel. I understand that this is a self service hotel but we spent over two hours trying to get a code whilst speaking to OYO in India and several people We then got told it would take 48 hours to resolve although we were only staying there one night! We have now been told we cannot have a refund as it is not part of their policy even though we couldn’t even stay there and had to pay out a large sum to stay in a hotel down the road I am so disappointed in the whole experience and would never stay here

Couldn’t use the parking not enough room for my car The room was clean Fridge didn’t work and smelled when we opened it Lots of stairs so not suitable for disabled people Had trouble getting into the room as it had been changed only letting us know after we arrived Good job man came in and helped us

Complicated check in which relied on app even though there was a member of staff on the premises. Finally we got to our room and it stank and looked dingy. Popped our head into the on-suite whic was tiny and cramp. Immediately booked another hotel and left. I usually read the reviews but this time I was in a hurry. If I'd read the reviews I wouldn't have booked. Also don't rely on the parking as there are only 4 spaces and the street is rammed. We had to pay for parking in the station carpark. The only benefit is its close proximity to the station and the see. Not only will I never book this hotel again, I won't book any hotel in the chain.

Considering my reservation was "cancelled", but "luckily they had a free room", and I still haven't had my "cancelled" payment back, I think it's fair to say they scammed me out of my initial payment. Do not recommend.

No, just no. Worst hotel I've been in this year.

The good; the location. That's it. The bad; double bed and sofa bed beyond terrible. Friend and I woke up with pain every morning. No toiletries in bathroom except for a small bar of soap. Had a kitchen but no cutlery or dishes. No response from hotel via WhatsApp chat and message is still not read 3 days later. Urine stains on sofa bed (photo below) Hotel doubles up as homeless hostel which is silent on the app. My female friend was pestered outside by a couple of residents who were either very high on drugs or very drunk and this was at 4 :30 pm. It's a doss house trust doubles up as a hotel when rooms are free is my guess. First time I've felt safe in an area but not in the hotel. Just avoid and save yourself the pain of staying here.

Good for single person budget

Overall good for the cost. TV with apps, nice shower, clean etc however bed was very basic, shower overfilled quickly, and walls thin and being on ground floor it was noisy when people entered. Very limited parking outside, was lucky to get a free space two streets away. Fine for single person, would not recommend as a family or couple

Very disappointed

Had problems with automated check in after a long drive from Colchester where I had just run the Paras 10 event so needed to soak in a bath There wasn’t one and there were issues with the shower the room was cold and tiny not worth the money!

The picture on the advert is nothing like the room we had, bed frame was too small for the matress so it hung over the sides, the toilet was noisy and the door was made of old cupboard door panels, unlockable, the walls were paper thin and we could hear the neighbours conversation and snoring, cold water tap was hard to turn off, parking was a joke and no one at reception, we were booked for a week but only managed 3 days then we just left, not a hotel just a hovel, avoid like the plague, if it were possible i would give it minus 10 out of 10.

Don’t take your wife

Shabby accommodation, not the cleanest as per the pics. But at least the bed sheets were clean. Offered no breakfast options. But met the duty manager and she seemed nice. TV and hairdryer out of order too.. Need a code to enter the building and your room so make sure you save this or you will struggle to enter.

Basically expensive below par accommodation

Booking in via web at front door took forever due to limited phone signal. No staff on site. Only 1 tea and 1 coffee in room. Shower cubicle so small I wasn't able to use due to back issues. Basic but expensive for the standard of room

First and foremost i didn't stay there as the manager was very rude and his staff, they took my money and then kicked me out, telling me to go rent somewhere else, reason being is because i asked them questions on why they needed my passport
