"Upon entering after a long car journey, we were told that they didn't have the ensuite room that we had booked and then shown to a very plain, undecorated bedroom with a sink on the wall by the window. The bedroom was very dusty - I wrote in the dust with my finger. The shared bathroom across the hall was unclean. "Staff excellent, room ok , breakfast very nice.
The host, Dean was unhelpful and obstructive when a big carrier bag filled with , crisps, popcorn, biscuits and chocolate was “ mistaken “ for rubbish and removed from our family room without a clear explanation.
A refund of the cost was offered but I said thank you but refused as it was the principle of the matter as we were there for two nights and this was the first day.
If we had checked out and left the premises it would have been obviously...
