This place is nothing like the photos, it’s very old and dated, needs a remodel, isn’t particularly clean and is very loud. There is no insulation springs doors and windows so it’s very noisy, despite the fact that it’s in a quiet area. The pillows are like plywood, sheets are polyester and the towels feel like sandpaper. "We picked this hotel for the view. Their roof top restaurant for breakfast was excellent. We had a Sunday brunch. The view was great! Our room had a balcony with a partial view and it was great too. Very comfortable. Accommodating staff. It is not downtown. Close enough "

"The balcony facing the sea was the huge bonus for me. That was why I chose Las Gaviotas. As a solo traveler I did not need the large space. The apartment is very large with large balcony also. Perfect for families, or 2 couples as it offers each a bedroom and each their own bath plus kitchen. Location steps to Malecon, restaurants, cafes, grocery. And quiet for sleeping.
