"Very basic room but clean and good for a short stay. Unfortunately, breakfast was greasy with few choices for people who do not enjoy Irish breakfast with bacon and sausages"

"Overall it was fine but the hotel is outdated and could use upgrading. Shower facilities wasn’t suitable for a toddler, only a big overhead shower and it was hanging off the wall. Windows are old with lots of mould around them and let through cold air so the room was very cold and there was no heating options. The tv wouldn’t turn on. Found that the switch was off on the wall so turned it on but it still wouldn’t turn on. Bed was comfy though and staff and food were fabulous."

"It was quite expensive to stay there for 4 nights (over 1000 euros on a holiday weekend) so I was expecting a commensurate room. The room was quite small and the bathroom door even smaller. It required anyone who is 6 feet tall or taller to duck down or else bang their head (which I did on one occasion). I have stayed in hundreds of hotels all over the world and never seen anything like this. Nowhere on their website or at check-in does it forewarn guests about the mini door. The shower in the tub was also for leprechauns. When standing in it my shoulders touched the wall on one side and a plastic panel on the other side. Very strange."

"This was probably my favorite hotel of all the ones we stayed during our tour of Ireland. It was once a hospital and has a lot of neat history. It is located in the Shandon area, very near some beautiful Cathedrals. It is a bit of walk to the actual shopping, but would definitely stay here again. The staff was very nice and accommodating. We stayed in a family room, and it was perfect! King bed in the center, twin beds on each side!"
