"Horrible stay. We walked in and turned right back out. Dead cockroach’s in the kitchen. Floors look like they had not been swept of mopped. What topped it off for me was the bathroom not clean and the LIVE cockroach I found on the pillow. The smell of the place was nasty. Had kitchenettes but you had to go ask for everything at the front desk. Very gross, will never be back."

"We didn’t stay at this hotel for very long because we were asked to leave due to a situation involving our friends, even though we had nothing to do with it directly. That part was disappointing and made the experience feel unfair. Aside from that, the hotel itself did not make a good impression. The place felt dirty, the amenities were very basic, and there was nothing special or memorable about the stay. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel to other travelers."

"I got what I paid for—it was an affordable room for a one-night stay near Wrightsville Beach. However, I would not choose to stay here again. Upon check-in, the front desk had me sign a strict no-smoking policy, yet when we entered our room, there was a noticeable smell of cigarette smoke. As a parent traveling with my children, this was concerning. Unfortunately, it was late in the evening and we weren’t able to make other arrangements, so we made the best of the situation for the night."

"The hotel smelled and the rooms were disgusting . Dirty blankets and pillows full of stains . Walls and floors were dirty . Didn’t even stay . Walked in and seen it and immediately left. Looks nothing like the pictures online . And was not able to get refund"

"At first look the place looked clean and good except the sink had cracks in it that sometime tried to repair. That was ok though it could still be used. When we pulled the sheet back to get in one if the beds it hadn't been cleaned. There was black stuff all over it. It has clearly been remade without sheets being changed. No discount or refund was offered to me."

"The room was very clean but I think that this place is fairly new construction. I just had to clean the filters of the A/C ventilation system at the sink and then spray them down with Lysol as they were a little dusty. This should be done routinely by the housekeeping staff as part of their cleaning duties. My wife also suggested the bathroom shower should have handle bars as the shower floor became slippery after it got wet. Someone could slip and fall. The staff were very friendly,...

"Wonderful hotel. The staff was so helpful. The room was spacious and clean. Love that there was no carpet. The only thing I didn’t love was the coffee. Not terrible, but could have been stronger. I would absolutely recommend this place."

"The bathrooms were ok However I found someone else's hair on the shower wall that was not mine or my husband's. I brought towels with me for the trip, One of them happen to be white. I had it in my bag. The housekeeper took my towel out of my bag thinking it belongs to the hotel. If she looked at it CLEARLY, it didn't. My thoughts is don't go through people's belongings. I wouldn't take towels from a hotel and Im sure there are people who do"

We like it so much that we came back this year to Wilmington again for a vacation and made sure we got to stay in this hotel. Staybridge East is situated off a busy road just far enough away from traffic noise. It's located just a few miles from Wrightsville Beach, very convenient.
