It is extremely quiet despite being next door to a pub and near the shops. The cottage was beautifully decorated and had everything anyone could need for a self-catering accommmodation. "A lovely cottage with history and character. As mentioned in the listings it would not be suitable for someone very tall or with difficulties. Facilities are excellent everything you need supplied. Parking is free but beware spaces can be all taken - it states 23 hours stay - no return for an hour, so be aware there is a car park attendant around! Cottage is within easy reach of the town and Abbey. A lovely stay"

"I love staying at Lucknham and it always feels like visiting a (very well to do) friend's house. It's relaxed but luxurious. The food was great both nights and the service was warm and efficient. We were primarily there for 2 nights to relax and use the spa (annual mother / daughter trip). We'd known the renovation was scheduled and had planned around the advertised dates, so it was really disappointing to see the hydrotherapy pool still boarded up and then builders there the entirety of each day making a lot of noise and smoking into the pool area every time they took a break. It would have been so much better to have pre warned guests this would be the case so they could make an informed decision on which dates to book..."
