"Very nice hotel, nice staff, clean rooms and good breakfast. Just be aware that there is no elevator to the second floor when booking. Will definitely stay there again next time in town. Walking distance to Baugher's Diner where we had great meals with excellent service."

"The staff is always really nice. Check in was quick and easy. It’s an older building so the rooms are a hit or miss (I’ve stayed here several times. Sometimes I get a really clean room, this time was okay. I had stains on the sheets/towels and there was a broken off tissue hidden in the sheets). I went to the gym this time around. The treadmill is broken but the other two machines were usable."

"We stayed at Visitation during our son and DIL marriage in the Frederick courthouse- afterwards we reserved dinner at Wye Oak Tavern. The environment, presentation and superior taste of food made for a memorable evening. They treated us with a glass of complimentary champagne to celebrate our night and we never felt rushed to leave that evening. It was a special night and our stay at hotel was superb - rooms were immaculate and comfortable- hotel grounds were lovely to relax."

"I appreciated that our lovely room had an outdoor veranda style seating area directly on the parking lot (which was very quiet & remote across from a country field). This allowed me to drove within a foot of the room entrance which was perfect for my handicapped mother who joined me since she can barely walk. Nice, relaxing stay! "

"Room was clean and spacious. They were able to accommodate our family plus pet comfortably. However, they did not provide towels in the room. When asked they said we had to wait for housekeeping in the morning and when followed up in the morning, there were no clean towels available. The pool room also did not have towels for swimmers. "

My room wasn’t clean when I got there there was trash everywhere the bed wasn’t made and there was a stain on the bed had to get it cleaned left for 2 hours came back to my bed still having a blood or poop stain on it asked them for a refund and told me that I couldn’t get one took a mattress out of a room that wasn’t cleaned and dragged it on the dirty sidewalk into my room and put the old dirty...

"I always had phobia about ground floor. I complained and was not given a fair hearing. I didn't enjoy my stay there. I paid around $576 which i regretted. The staff on night shift the day I left was very helpful. I believe she would have listened to me when I made my complaint about ground floor"

"The room was pristine and so well-decorated, personal, warm, relaxing. The staff cannot do enough for you. Be prepared for a knockout breakfast (we learned a secret to those airy scrambled eggs, a dollop of sour cream). The dining room is completely windowed so the farm is always visible. There are places to sit and read, also well-decorated and relaxing. That is the leitmotif of this place -- relax. Then, enjoy. The fireplace was perfect for the chill of March.
