"Great place to stay for our return trip to Blighty, only 45 mins from the Tunnel. Had a lovely walk around the golf course early evening. Very quiet. Then a few drinks on the veranda of the hotel bar. Breakfast following morning was a treat."

"It’s a beautiful building in an amazing grounds. The room was clean and airy with good light. We travelled by bicycle and they happily locked them away safely for us. Breakfast was also very good and worth the extra charge. Our only comment would be that if you don’t want to have dinner in their restaurant and you’re on a bicycle or foot, then you’ll need to go a couple of kilometres to the nearest village. We asked if the kitchen could prepare a sandwich or something small for us, but was told no, which I felt was a bit uncompromising."

"We were travelling back to the UK and found the location and price perfect for travelling to the Le Shuttle at Calais. The staff both reception, restaurant and bar very warm and helpful. The establishment appears to be a centre for trades,driving and commercial travellers and the owners appear to have settled on a budget clientele and thus some of the amenities are very tired. I refer to the room carpets and furniture. The beds were very clean as was the bathroom. I would have no hesitation recommending this for a budget stay."
