"Very cool that it is the age it is. Rooms are newer and perfectly fine, but our was street facing with no opening windows (probably because it would feel like a bus was driving through our room), but I would not want that again. I appreciate fresh air. Mostly great staff, just they could not find our reservation when we arrived. Blamed it on it being Expedia."

"Stay away at all cost, not recommended this place at all. Paid for a room with ensuite but assigned me just a room with shared bathroom. Rudeness from front desk was even worse, and that's after driving 5hrs to reach London for a 4 night stay. Pillows were dirty, bedlinen had not been changed, shared bathroom was like indian public toilet. I've used a T shirt around pillows as they had sperm marks. "Wonderful property and management! The owner was incredibly polite and personable. Got to hear about her story and how she manages the place. She even gave us recommendations for our trip that we loved! Additionally, the rooms were very homey and clean. Would recommend this property to anyone visiting! Having the restaurant below the hotel was also very convenient."

"Stayed in Room 14 for one night. Room very tired - headboard peeling in flakes onto pillows, furniture shoddy & worn. Toilet roll with 4 sheets left folded at end on holder to look nice in en-suite. Room in desperate need of refurbishment. Staff however were very friendly, courteous & professional. Nice meal/drinks at reasonable price in Restaurant. Price for room also reasonable. Would stay again but only for night or two."

"We absolutely loved staying at the Crown and Cushion. Our bed was very comfortable and we slept well The staff was amazing. We were greeted by Ellie and she was wonderful. Breakfast was delicious and we felt like we were treated so kindly. In the evening we had a pint at the bar and our server was Costas. He was a delight. We enjoyed talking with him.
