What a lovely house and Judy was a lovely host. The house is beautiful and furnished in the Victorian era fitting with the age of the house. The room was enormous and very comfortable. Breakfast was home cooked and very tasty. Shame we only stayed one night, wished it had been longer.

Our 'go to' place when in the area. Nice friendly staff, rooms are spacious, clean & have comfortable beds. Microwave/fridge & coffe machine & hot water for shower. Air con/heating worked fine. Parking right outside & it's always been quiet. A lovely welcoming little town with it's friendly shops. Being at this time year the Christmas lights were great. Lots of places to visit locally. Would recommend.

Excellent night and day staff. Comfy bed and great shower. Would definite stay again if I was in the area.

This was in fact a short stay but we will be returning next year for a longer stay thanks to this event. The location has immense beauty, while it is not an actual log cabin it is definitely made to look this way, does need some external repairs to the main building and the location of the Hughes internet dishes could be more hidden speaking from experience. But these are minute issues and I couldn’t possibly state the locations delivery of excellence more than I have it is a secret gem in the...

The Verandah is a very special hotel in a perfect little town. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay and wished that we could have stayed longer. It reminded us a little of the hotel in Groundhog day but rather smarter and more historic - staying here forever would certainly be more dream than nightmare. We met three members of staff and they could not have been more charming. We reserve our special thanks for Robyn who was so very kind and welcoming. The breakfast was very good,...

Can only speak for us & a one night stay. I'd read the reviews & was a bit worried but a nice young man welcomed me, was very helpful and found me a room on ground floor as we didn't want 1st. The room was spacious and clean & no signs of any bugs anywhere. Everything we needed and beds very comfy. Hot water & nice shower. There was the 'usual' smell of a hotel room but think it's either the aircon or cleaning stuff they use. Don't think any breakfast as such. We will stay there again as...

Hotel was clean and quiet. Comfy bed and good breakfast. Staff very friendly and helpful

We would like to say a huge thank you to Kit and all the amazing staff at Callaway resort and spa for making our stay so special. We were lucky enough to stay in the lodge Hotel and a cottage during our visit to the USA. The cottages are beautiful and set in the pine forest and their swimming pools are amazing. We also stayed in the lodge hotel - again a very special place which is beautifully maintained and tranquil. All the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and the setting of the...

Okay but location not great. No excuse for gym being not available. Overall not bad

Stayed here before and always come back
