"What a wonderful experience staying at the University Place Hotel. It was great to relax at the hotel after spending the day at OHSU. It is so conveniently located. Then, the next morning it was time for the amazing, complimentary breakfast. What a variety of delicious foods to choose from, including waffles, which is always a treat when away from home. It was also just a short drive to the Southwest Water Front area and back. I will without a doubt stay here again when in the area."

The surrounding area wasn't the best, as my brother and I noticed people yelling/doing drugs in the park across the street, but they mostly kept to themselves and posed no threat or nuisance to us. All in all, I'd say it's one of the better Portland hotels I'd stayed in"

"Had a very nice two night stay! The front desk staff was cheery and helpful. The decor is wonderful and eclectic. We played pinball - see if you can top 7M at the 24 machine lol. The location is close and walkable to so much. The highlight of the trip was taking the blue line to the Hoyt arboretum."
