"We'd be happy to have stayed there for a week (we had a 3 night stay). The amenities and features of the one bedroom apartment met all needs. The washing machine and condensing dryer just what we needed. The outlook of our 6th floor room was very pleasant, so it may pay if it is important to check when booking what aspect and views a room has.
There were some signs of minor wear and tear, but not of any consequence or to detract from the rooms. The touch controlled lighting had our interest, but some times seemed to be inconsistent to our touch. OTOH the electrically open/close curtains were appreciated given the height and weight if they were manual. The patio setting was convenient and of an adequate area, unlike others elsewhere. There was a surplus of power points and USB charging outlets, compared to many other places we have stayed at recently.
A tip for travellers to Canberra is although Deco has undercover parking available, the cities attractions are accessible without a car. There is a light rail stop nearby, and access to the bus service. Some planning required and expect to walk 100-500m.
We ate at the restaurant on 2 nights and were very pleased with the food. The menu choices covered most needs. There are specials which differ according to the day of the week. Generous in portion from our observations of other house guests and well priced.
The front desk staff and all were easy to talk to and left a good impression."
