"Small town, older motel. It had what we needed but it may not work for everyone. Spent one night before flying out. Might be wise to stay closer to the international airport as the highways can be congested. "

"Oh boy...I greatly dislike writing negative reviews. While Chemainus is adorable, the location is fantastic and the exterior is a dream...this aint it. Mouldy drapes, a number of amenities were broken (electric fireplace, mouldy fridge), no wifi, questionably clean bedsheets. And (I have photos as proof) a white substance residue left on the counter next to the bed. I will say that the indoor jet tub was amazing! I swear I heard a cough below us at one point and noticed a little door that looked...

"This was the perfect place for our staying at Nanaimo. It was close to parks for walking in, very quiet and spacious, and the view was spectacular! We loved our stay here."

"The place was clean! A bright, simple room, one queen bed, a window to the street, bathrooms close by across the hall. There's a roomy kitchen-living-relaxing space, fridges, free tea and coffee (the manager, John, makes a pot in the morning.) The location was excellent--right on the corner of Bastion and Commercial street, giving you walkable access to all the main attractions of Nanaimo. You can tell the place is cared for--houseplants are watered, no dying philodendrons malingering in the...

"horrible - we left and did not stay. stains on pillows, wierd smell in room, toilet was not flushed ! DO NOT STAY HERE !!!"

"Breakfast was good. Room was ok. Had carpet and would rather not have it. Gives a dirty feeling. Had to go to a different floor for ice. Behind on supplying hand soap, etc in big containers. Very inconvenient. We’re good at tidying room and providing fresh towels 2nd day."

"I’ve stayed here a few times, and the staff have always been kind and helpful! We got the standard 2 queen beds, the room is spotless, the beds are comfortable and there’s great wifi and cable! The kitchen is fully equipped and has everything you need for some home cooking while you’re away! The motel is super close to many amenities (great Indian spot near by.) I always choose to stay here while I’m travelling!"

"This is a great motel. Everything is clean and you can see that they stay on top of their maintenance. Yes, the front of the hotel does border a busy road and I can't comment on the noise level in the rooms that look out on to the road, but we had a room at the back and we had a great night's sleep. The hotel staff are also friendly and accommodating."

"The room was clean, comfortable, and properly maintained, which I appreciated. However, my experience at the front desk was disappointing. The girl at the hotel counter was very rude and unprofessional. She did not know how to speak to customers respectfully and lacked basic customer service skills. Good hospitality starts with polite and professional staff, so this part of the experience was not satisfactory."
