"Absolutely stunning room and breakfast at the hotel across the parking lot was a bonus. The property is on the main road in town so the view is just OK but the location is unbeatable and it was very quiet at night. Only complaint was the lights... numerous switches and its not clear what controls what. And the fireplace ran out of fuel but we didnt contact anyone as we were only there for 2 nights. Wish we couldve stayed longer!"

"Absolutely wonderful stay. Anna welcomed us with her own baked cakes and was very welcoming and helpful. It’s so nice to meet a local when a key lockbox seems to be taking over the accommodation check in process. Views from both the front and back of our room were stunning. Centrally located to all of south Iceland. And the cutest and friendliest pups around. Could not recommend it more."

"Among the best stays my wife and I had in Iceland. Very friendly staff, Eva was terrific and we chatted a bit upon our arrival. We wish her the best during her time in Iceland, if she reads this! You made our stay delightful! Breakfast is amazing here, lots of hot and cold options and a few extras not offered in other breakfasts too, cod liver oil for one. The rooms were quite clean, well ventilated, lots of parking, and great showers that are contained and not the typical European shower that gets waters everywhere with no lip/seperated shower area. Much appreciate this. Easy to clean fiberglass shower unit, great design choice by the owners, kudos. Also has great ventilation, comfy beds, would stay here mulitiple nights. Only con is that the nearest town is Vik, which is about 10-15 mins away. Overall, would stay again! Thanks again, Eva!"

"This was a stunning place, the photos don’t do justice. It was so luxurious and aesthetic, overlooking the black beach. So quiet and pretty. I am glad we picked this place Kitchen and gadgets were top notch, shower was amazing, very spacious, ample space for everything. Parking was very convenient too."

"Don't stay here. Don't make this place so popular that I won't be able to book a room next time I come. It may not be for you. You may not want to be steps away from the most amazing falls you have ever seen. You may not want to be an easy drive away from Vik and the other stunning nearby sights. You may hate the idea of being 10 minutes from hiking a glacier. You may want food other than the excellent ones being served at their restaurant. Please, let this place be an undiscovered gem"
