"Very central location for Stone Town. Easy to walk to local attractions. Less easy to get back to but that is due to the many narrow streets rather and geography of the area and nothing to do with the hotel! The hotel is known by everyone so if you get lost someone will help you get back. It is noisy with building work going on nearby, calls to prayer, and the church bells ringing but we expected that to be the case and soon got used to it. The air conditioning, fan and turn down service...

"We used Stone Town as a home base to explore Zanzibar, and we would highly recommend it since there are a lot of restaurants and things to do while the beaches are still only a one hour ride away and make for a nice day trip. Oh yeah - about the hotel...the staff was extremely friendly, and it is a safe environment with clean rooms. "The location is absolutely perfect for anyone who wants to walk around Stonetown. Several wonderful cafés and restaurants are nearby and pretty much everything is walking distance. The Beyt is an older simpler hotel much like Tembo House hotel. But everything is clean and good condition. Breakfast is simple but more than enough. The staff are friendly and sweet — a big thanks to Diana for making my check in and check out fast and easy! "
