The service at the Neela was unparalleled. The staff were unfailingly pleasant and helpful, but never fawning or in the way. Make sure to visit not only their downstairs cafe, but also their rooftop restaurant. Highly recommend.

Great location in the middle of the old city, very clean, staff very nice. Their restaurant was good. No pool (just saying this because some reviews make it look like there is a pool).

Best hotel in Stonetown!

Fantastic stay! Such a lovely gem tucked away in a convenient and easy-to-access location. Staff was so friendly and helpful, rooms effortlessly embody understated luxury, and the restaurant, Breadfruit, is divine.

ホテルは新しく、とても清潔感があり快適でした。特に、ルーフトップから眺める青空と海の景色が好きでした。 そしてなにより素晴らしかったのは、スタッフの皆さんの対応です。 日本円からの換金やレイトチェックアウトなど、いくつか相談をさせていただきましたが、どの場面でも真摯に向き合ってくださり、一緒に解決策を考えてくださいました。 ザンジバルに滞在するなら、本当におすすめできるホテルです。ぜひまた利用したいと思います。

Love this hotel! Friendly staff that went over and beyond to make us happy and make our stay memorable, simple but beautiful decor, lovely rooms, amazing shower with lots of pressure which is exactly what you need after a long trip of after exploring stone town and the food… my oh my… it’s delicious! I have found my favorite hotel in stone town after many many years!

There was no pool and aircon was only in room, possibly in the resto downstairs, but in no common areas. Lovely staff, good food, nice decor and art. Lots of stairs. Airport shuttle was reasonable and good.

Authentic while Exceeding Expectations

Very welcoming service and nice rooms that exceeded our expectations. The rooftop dining for dinner was a special treat with a nice selection and excellent quality. A fine choice if you want to stay in Stone Town and have an authentic Zanzibar experience.

This is a gorgeous luxury hotel in the heart of stone town. The staff was incredible and went out of their way to ensure our stay was memorable. The hotel was exceptionally clean. The food and drinks are amazing. We could walk everywhere including markets, hurumzi, and forodhani gardens. Thank you to all the wonderful staff who made us want to come back again soon!
