I will be recommending this hotel to anyone considering a trip to Zurich. I travelled with my husband and 5 year old son. Not only is this hotel one of the most reasonably priced in the city, but it is situated in a prime location for exploring all of Zurich’s attractions and is a 2 minute walk from the train station. The hotel itself is basic, but very clean, and has everything you need as a base to explore Zurich. The hotel decor is dated, but we loved it, as it added character and had retro charm. The hotel staff were so welcoming and could not have been more accommodating. The receptionist was wonderful with our son.
Our room was on floor 5, which meant climbing a lot of steps to get to the room. This wasn’t a problem for us, but there is a lift you can take, however it is very small and would only be able to take a few people at any one time.
Each morning we went next door to the bakery for breakfast. The eggs were some of the best I’ve had, including fresh pastries and bread rolls. There is also a choice of jams/honey to accompany your breakfast. Before leaving the hotel each morning we were greeted with reception offering us bottles of water to take with us and fresh fruit. I would not hesitate to return here again in the future.
