The front desk and bar staff were super. We were treated like friends by Esteban from Argentina at the front desk. He went the extra mile on everything and gave us vouchers for drinks at the bar a few feet away. He followe up to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed.

The room and location was great. The area is very walkable and close to the train station. The only issue I had was a bad air conditioner in my room. I asked for a different room but the front desk lady told me I was lucky to have o e and I had no option because there was only two rooms with the I it’s. The one in my room barely worked. So I was sweating all night sleeping.

The room was very clean and stylish. The staff was helpful and courteous except for one issue. The air conditioning unit only room barely functioned so it was super hot. I asked for another room they told me a had one of the only rooms with air conditioning. The unit was old and barely worked at all. I was on the 6th floor and it was very hot. Other than this my stay was fine. The unit should be repaired or replaced.

We arrived in Zurich on one of the hottest days of the summer. The air conditioning was already on when we entered the room, so we assumed it would cool down while we went out to explore the city. Unfortunately, when we returned around 10 p.m., the room was still uncomfortably warm. The air conditioning unit looked old, was patched with duct tape, and was quite noisy, yet it still could not cool the room down overnight. We had a very poor night’s sleep — it felt like sleeping outside in the heat. Overall, this was not a good experience. During a summer heatwave, a hotel room should provide a comfortable place to rest, and this room simply did not.

Perfect location for an overnight stay before an early flight out of Zurich, which I have done several times in the past at this location. However, this stay was sub-par. The TV did NOT work (and late night World Cup games were on!) and no AC during a heat wave. To be fair this place is expensive, but you pay for location to Bahn. Best in Fall and Spring - avoid rooms with no AC in summer.

This is definitely not a luxury hotel experience. Our room was very small and without air conditioning, it was quite uncomfortable. The breakfast was very disappointing. The location is great, but there are much better options for hotels and breakfasts in the same Zurich area.

The rooms are quite large and we had a comfortable king size bed over looking the street/walkway that is set up with outside dining from many different restaurants. There are no cars on this street. With all the different restaurants and bars down below it was very noisy with the windows open since no air conditioning. We were told due to the historical significance of the building they are not allowed to have air conditioners on the outside of the building. There is a nice standing fan that worked well. The staff is very nice and helpful. We were able to check in early. It worked well for us since it is very close to the train station, shops and restaurants. The breakfast buffet in the attached restaurant had nice breads, boiled eggs, yogurt, fruit, cereal, juices and coffee.

We had an amazing stay at the Hotel Townhouse. The location couldn’t be more perfect. 1 minute walk to Zurich HB and it was a quiet street from Bahnhofstrasse. The room was small but very clean and super comfortable. The staff was exceptional!!! Thank you so much Anno for all your help this morning at the breakfast. The location is very good, convenient to the train station. The public areas including the restaurant are updated but the rooms are outdated. It is an older building but they can definitely update the guest rooms. The furniture is old and dressers were missing handles making them unusable. Decor was terrible. We lived out of our suitcases for two days, if our stay was longer, would have been very inconvenient. We have stayed in other historic hotels that have been nicely updated. The staff was excellent and the bar with small kitchen was perfect for drinks and snacks. I would return but will not until the guest rooms are updated. Also, there isn't air conditioning so I wouldn't return in the summer.

The hotel was perfectly located. It was very close to the train station and one of the best shopping streets in Zurich. Easy to walk down to the lake and to the Old Town side. Dylan was exceptional- pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and perfect for our needs. There was no air conditioning but a fan was provided, which made us very comfortable.

The pluses: excellent location. In a pedestrian street which means no traffic noise and a 5-minute walk from the train station. A few mins walk from everything downtown - cannot beat that! Very friendly staff, good spread for breakfast (the two guys working there were extremely polite and helpful) and a very lovely and nicely decorated lobby/eating area. Rooms are fine and clean. The minuses: no AC in the rooms that can become of an issue on hot days because, you have to leave the windows open at night and unfortunately, if you are facing the inner court yard, people gather early in the morning for a coffee and a smoke and talk loudly waking you up at wee hours of the day. Another minus is the room price. I know that hotel prices are high in Zurich, but for a 3 star hotel, I paid what I paid for a way more exclusive room in Manhattan and I did that all the 15 times I flew there the last 3 years. Anyway, the latter is unavoidable, I guess, unless you wait for specials. Overall, a 4/5 experience and I will definitely go back next time I'm in town.

The staff were very friendly especially Estephan! The bed was comfy and room was clean. Wished that there were more plug-in options close to the bed. No air conditioning but a fan was provided. Interesting and fun decor. Very close to train station and great location for dining, transportation and shopping!! The staff at the bar, particularly Francis and Paulina were amazing!
