"An opportunity to spend a night in a revamped farmhouse turned guesthouse. The Farmhouse lodge is situated about 15-20 minutes west of the town of Vik right off of the Ring Road and has two levels (the main and a walk out basement which is quite bright). Stayed in a single room with shared bathroom (which I think I had to myself) that was on the lower level facing south with a big bright window and beautiful view). "Nice and pleasant location. Clean room. Friendly Staff. The lodge wasn't soundproof and I heard people next room talking and stomping of the footsteps from the room above.It took a bit long to have hot breakfast served and continental breakfast wasn't impressive."

"After reading the reviews I was a bit worried about staying here, but I needn't had worried. The staff were friendly and helpful, the accommodation was actually really nice. Better than I was expecting. It's not the Ritz so don't except 5 star cleanliness, but it was better than I thought, it was clean, cozy and warm. We stayed in a 2 bed comfort cabin with 6 of us and it was fine for what we needed. Love the theming as it made it more fun. "

"this is if you want cheap and cheerful then its perfect the rooms are very basic and a little outdated. the shower was more of a dribble than a shower. the rooms were clean and the staff very helpful when i had a issue on arrival "

They had four main menus that rotated each day. Our favorite excursion was the dog sledding. We have enthusiastically recommended Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort to all of our friends and family."
